Knowing nothing about the Pacific Ocean, but having some romantic notion that it would be awesome - one day - to be sailing the world's largest ocean, it's time to leave our home port and head south.
And then to keep the pace up, we have to cross Biscay again. Biscay was our first ever offshore experience on the First Voyage - our Atlantic Circuit - and it was in many ways remarkably similar again.
Having crossed Biscay, we could meander down the Portuguese coast. But instead we head out into the ocean and make a voyage of it.
Storm Francis disrupts our intended start, so we have a welcome pause on Gran Canaria. Then we head out expecting sunshine, haha.
Week 2 didn't get a lot better - the gentle winds and the sunshine that we were hoping for don't appear.
If anything, our final week heading into St Lucia is somewhat worse than the previous two weeks.
